About
Fariba Mir (Mirian) , born in Tehran in 1969, is a painter and painting instructor with a BA in Journalism from Tehran Azad University. She received her professional painting training under prominent masters such as Ali Faramarzi and Abbas Katouzian, and has been actively engaged in her artistic career for over thirty years. Throughout the years, Mir has diligently pursued her artistic path, continuously seeking growth and experimentation in various painting styles through the use of classical techniques. Her works reflect a deep connection with nature, imagination, and memory, artistically portraying individual life and the roots of authentic existence.
In Mir’s paintings, nature is seen as a living, flowing memory. Using symbols such as sturdy trees, houses, and windows, she conveys messages of renewal and hope for life to her audience. With a poetic and hopeful perspective on life, she communicates this vision through her artworks.
Fariba Mir has consistently participated in prominent solo and group exhibitions both in Iran and internationally, including in London, Istanbul, Rome, and California, while maintaining an impactful connection with different generations through her teaching of painting.
