In the “Varzav” series, Fariba Mirian returns once again to her own empiricism; somewhere between painting and myth. The rooster has been replaced by Taros; a symbol that comes from the heart of ancient Iranian narratives, but has been reinterpreted in today’s context.
The presence of Taros in Mirian’s works can be a symbol of transition and connection between fantasy and reality, past and present, or myth and everyday life; where two worlds come into contact and the possibility of new creation and discovery is formed.
